Birth Announcement, good news we hope

This is to inform you that a new creature has entered the Internet, a FREE version of Sequoia Interfaith Newsmagazine online, in the new format of a Blog.
You have have noted in the news that Blogs are the new political medium for all of us to influence and inform our public employees, especially around election time, what we expect of them.
It is also our continuing news medium to attempt to inform you, our readers, of Good News of what we think we perceive God to be Doing now, in our day and in our world. I personally believe Blogs are one of God's gifts, by enabling all of us, and new friends we invite, to communicate with one another.
I am still learning how to help you to respond, but many of you may beat me to the punch and figure out how to reply to, even suggest improvements in, whatever we manage to get posted here, as words or pictures or poems or cartoons or maybe even music and other art work.

Think of this as a new Eden which God offers to us free of charge, thanks to Her servants at Google, to walk around in, converse, to learn together and to help one another to join in God's new creative endeavors, using our fingers and brains and hearts.
We intend it to be a healing message board, positively assisting you and everyone we can reach to know that God wants us to be whole, happy at least some of the time, and supported in sad and difficult times, of which we seem to have a good number.
We join Rabbi Michael Lerner and his efforts to make Tikkun Olam -- Healing or Transforming the World -- into more and more a reality for more of us. And we are active, many of us, in joining and strengthening the Network of Spiritual Progressives [about which you can learn more both at www.Tikkun.org or www.NSP.org, if I have spelled them right.]
